How do I install REX MASTER?

Sign in, open Profile → Downloads and download the REX ZXP. Install it with the official aescripts ZXP Installer, restart After Effects and open Window → Extensions → REX MASTER Studio.

Your license email also includes both installation links.

Which versions are supported?

REX MASTER is a Windows panel for After Effects 2025 and 2026 (CEP 12). Other versions are not currently supported.

Do I need to stay connected?

Activation needs internet access. REX must verify online at least once every seven days, or sooner if a trial expires. If verification expires, reconnect and REX continues after a successful check.

Where is my activation key?

Open Profile → My keys and choose “Email my key & install links”. It is sent from rexmaster.help@gmail.com to the email you signed in with — check spam as well.

Keys are never shown on the website. An older key that cannot be emailed needs an explicit replacement.

What happens when I replace a key?

The replacement is emailed to your verified account and you activate REX again with it. The previous key stops accepting new activations; existing offline access lasts until its current verification deadline.

How many computers can I use?

Each license has a computer limit, shown in your profile next to the key. Replacing a key disconnects its computers so you can start fresh.

Can I buy REX MASTER now?

Not yet. Online checkout stays closed until payment setup and verified license delivery are complete. Existing beta members find their tools in their profile.

Can I undo REX actions?

Yes. REX actions in After Effects are grouped so one Edit → Undo reverts them. REX does not auto-save your project.

Why do some buttons only show a message on the website?

The website runs the real REX interface without After Effects. Actions that need a composition explain what they would do instead of pretending to work.

I see flat rings instead of the 3D portal. Is something broken?

No. The 3D portal only runs when your browser offers hardware-accelerated WebGL. With hardware acceleration off, privacy protections, power-saving modes or older graphics drivers, REX shows the static portal instead. All content and links are identical.

Can I turn animations off?

Yes. If your system has “reduce motion” enabled (Windows: Settings → Accessibility → Visual effects → Animation effects off), the site removes decorative movement automatically.
